Welcome to Angelina Brooymans Photography
Angelina is photographer and printer based near Merritt, B.C. since 2015. Previously she lived in Vancouver, Canada where she worked as an R.N. for 25 years.
Lifelong artistic creativity and curiosity led to the film camera and then darkroom. Later she transitioned to the digital camera, computer editing and large format inkjet printing as her preferred medium.
Since moving to Merritt she has pursued photography full time through extensive travel with her husband and a well equipped home studio. She uses an Epson 44″ wide format printer and an HP 24″ inkjet. Independently printing her photos, give the scenes permanence and full control of the final product.
Now she spends most of her time at home learning photo art and editing through the computer as well as her reproduction work for other artists.
All photos on this website are photos taken entirely by Angelina. There is no generative fill items or AI items inserted into any of these original photographs. She uses artistic brushes, filters and tools to enhance the photos and uses her own images in compilations but with the exception of the odd texture all images are created by her. Most textures she creates herself using all sorts of items and weather.
She has a wide range of interests from monochrome and macrophotography to extensive digital enhancement. Her photos have an aesthetic intention concerning a variety of subject material mostly from the natural world and also historic and industrial impressionism.
She works with other visual artists to photograph and print accurate reproductions of their images. Photo editing, restoration and high quality printing for the public are also available.
Angelina is a member of CAPA(Can. Assoc. of Photographic Art), Kamloops Photo Arts Club and Nicola Valley Arts Council. She displays her work in several local galleries. Currently her photos may be seen in the at the Nicola Valley Arts Centre gift shop in Merritt, where they are available for purchase. Her photos are also displayed at Kamloops International Airport. Prints are also available for purchase through this website and all are printed on archival quality papers and canvas.
